First Aid Centre for Sheds

A need for a First Aid Centre becomes obvious when the situation suddenly arises to take care of a fellow shedder. First, we need to find somewhere to seat the patient, then find the First Aid Kit and find somewhere to put it for quick and hygienic use. The Sunshine Valley Men’s Shed on the Sunshine Coast found nothing was readily available, so they designed a First Aid Centre from scratch. 

The cupboard plans use a Wallbed Kit and modified a basic Examination Couch to provide the fold down bed/seating arrangement. When finished it takes up 1.5 meters of wall space and extends out 2.3 meters in the down position and adjoins a walk way, so is very accessible to all members as recommended by the QATB.  Their First Aid Centre was completed at a cost of approximately $3,800.00.
