Why join QMSA? – The value is enormous!!

Shed Toolbox

The Qeensland Men’s Shed Association (QMSA) has devised a series of policies, procedures, and templates for Shed business that have been developed in a comprehensive document entitled the QMSA Toolbox. Toolbox is an extensive resource for the management and sustainable running of Sheds across Queensland and will assist Sheds to be compliant with relevant legislation and governance frameworks. This document is available to Member Sheds of QMSA as a benefit of membership.

DGR

Since 1 October 2020, Deductible Gift Recipient status has been available to complying sheds. Why would a shed want DGR – there are many compelling reasons and potential advantages for sheds receiving DGR. We can guide sheds through the process.

Health and Mental Wellbeing

Health and wellbeing are paramount on most shed agendas and we have recently had specialists in this field deliver absolute scientific evidence of the benefits of men’s sheds in the areas of loneliness, cognitive functioning, positivity etc. As the Queensland Men’s Shed Association further develops these health professional partnerships and distributes findings we see this evidence as very valuable support with grant applications especially those applications under DGR to private foundations.
