NOW OPEN: The National Shed Development Program

Exciting news for Men’s Sheds – the National Shed Development Programme (NSDP) is now open for applications! This competitive grant initiative provides much-needed financial assistance to support the work of Men’s Sheds in fostering health, wellbeing, and community engagement. Whether it’s improving facilities, delivering meaningful activities, or promoting long-term sustainability, this program is a golden opportunity for sheds to enhance their impact.

Key points to keep in mind

There was strong interest from Shed’s in the last round and all categories were oversubscribed, resulting in a very competitive selection process. Eligibility alone doesn’t guarantee funding, so putting together a high-quality application is crucial. Be sure to read the instructions carefully and align your application with the program’s identified priorities.

Avoid common mistakes

Many applicants miss out on funding because they apply for ineligible items. For instance, Sheds that received funding of any type in the last six rounds (Rounds 23 to 28) are not eligible to apply for tools and equipment (Category 3). Double-check the eligibility criteria to avoid wasting time and effort.

Don’t miss out!

This is your chance to secure funding and boost your shed’s ability to support your members and the wider community. Start planning your application today and reach out for support if needed. Together, let’s make your shed a cornerstone of community wellbeing and connection.
