Taroom Men’s Shed Spreads Easter Cheer
Taroom is a small regional town in the Banana Shire of Queensland, nestled along the Dawson River and surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. At the heart of the community is the Taroom Men’s Shed, which this year brought some extra cheer to the local kindergarten.
In the lead-up to Easter, Shed members crafted a special bunny for every child. Each bunny was cut from plywood, painted white, and mounted on a wooden block, ready for the children to decorate and take home.
The project was a hit. Parents shared glowing feedback, and the children were proud to show off their colourful creations. Shed members enjoyed making the bunnies, knowing they would be appreciated – and hopefully the Easter Bunny rewarded the effort with a few extra treats!
It was a simple but joyful project, highlighting the way Men’s Sheds connect with their communities and spread a little happiness along the way.
