Governance Training Builds Strong Foundations for Sheds
Building Resources for Sheds!
QMSA recently partnered with CPR Group to deliver a successful governance training session for Shed leaders, with more than 30 participants taking part in an engaging and practical workshop.
Held as a pilot at Samford Community Hub, the session focused on management committee roles and responsibilities, sparking valuable discussion and shared learning among attendees. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the training's relevance and practical value.
Importantly, this initiative has now been expanded beyond the initial workshop. The session has been recorded and developed into a series of digital training videos, supported by a comprehensive suite of governance resources. These cover key topics such as legal requirements, financial management, conflict resolution, meeting processes and committee handovers, along with practical tools and activities that Sheds can use locally.
These resources are now available to all Sheds via the CPR Group website — making them easily accessible statewide and extending the training's long-term benefits.
This initiative is a great example of how QMSA continues to support Sheds with practical tools and knowledge, helping to build strong, well-governed organisations that can thrive into the future.
