The Queensland Men’s Shed Association (QMSA) takes great pride in having Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM, Governor of Queensland, and her husband, Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, as our esteemed patrons. Their unwavering support and advocacy for the Men’s Shed movement have made a significant impact across the state.
In recent years, both the Governor and Professor Nimmo have generously dedicated their time to visiting Men’s Sheds in regional Queensland. Their visits are not merely ceremonial; they serve as a powerful testament to the value of Sheds as community hubs. During their visits, they have praised Men’s Sheds for creating safe, welcoming spaces where men can connect, combat loneliness, and foster a sense of belonging.
